We both love the ship of Beast Boy and Raven, so then we started talking about Beast Boy Loves Raven as a real idea, real thing. It's this amazing thing we created together, and now the readers have taken it over in a way that I love, and it's there still. This series for me is synonymous with Gabriel. It really feels like the universe is ours. It is a heart-pounding look into a world very similar to ours – where gene therapy provides unlimited opportunities but can be easily misused. She must find the cure fast, before Charisma kills any more people, or she succumbs to its effects.Ĭharisma is a cautionary thriller about the potential pros and cons of using gene therapy, and leaves readers racing through its pages to reach the conclusion. However, she’s not the only person who accepts the Charisma, and soon Aislyn and other teens around her start to exhibit escalating symptoms that leave them in comas, or worse. ![]() ![]() When approached with a potential cure called CZ88 (Charisma), Aislyn says yes immediately. Lizzie starts to frequent doomsday prepper websites where she learns how to use a can of tuna fish to make a lamp and considers whether it would be best to move somewhere colder. When she takes the job responding to podcast listeners, she begins to grow anxious about the future. Lizzie often finds herself having to care for the other people in her life, particularly her drug-addict brother and her religion-obsessed mother. She is a librarian on a university campus who often feels insecure because she does not have a degree. Lizzie is the narrator and protagonist of the story.
